Fo Guang Shan is located in Ta Shu, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. "Retracting the Roots of Fo Guang Shan" is brought to you by its founder, Venerable Master Hsing Yun. The Venerable Master will take you on an enlightening tour around the five hills on which the FGS monastery is built and explain the significance and history of its numerous iconography, statuary, and inspiring architecture. Looking back at the history of the monastery, Fo Guang Shan stands as a testament to the magnificent flowering of Humanistic Buddhism, which has grown continuously over the past four decades.
